The West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme has been launched with a vision to break down financial barriers and empower students across the state to pursue higher education without constraints. This pioneering initiative is a collaborative effort between the government, State Cooperative Bank, affiliated Central Cooperative Banks, District Central Cooperative Banks, and Public/Private Sector Banks

1. Loan Amount and Interest Rate: Eligible students from West Bengal can avail themselves of a maximum loan of Rs. 10 lakhs at a competitive interest rate of 4% per annum simple interest.

2.Interest Concession: A significant incentive is provided to borrowers who diligently service the interest during the study period, with a 1% interest concession offered.

3.Upper Age Limit: The scheme recognizes that education is a lifelong pursuit and has set the upper age limit at 40 years for applicants, ensuring that individuals can access financial support at various stages of their academic journey.

4. Repayment Period: The repayment period for the loans availed under this credit card, including the moratorium/repayment holiday, is set at fifteen (15) years. This extended timeframe aims to ease the financial burden on students as they transition from education to the workforce.

Embarking on a mission to empower our students, GGDC, Ranibandh proudly introduces the Student Credit Card Awareness Program. In collaboration with the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme, this initiative is aimed at spreading awareness about the financial opportunities available for students to pursue their educational dreams without the burden of financial constraints.
