At Govt. General Degree College Ranibandh, various
significant days are commemorated with fervour and enthusiasm:
Republic Day:
On 26th January each year, Republic Day is commemorated
at the college with patriotic fervour. Like Independence Day, the day
includes Flag Hoisting ceremonies and cultural events, with active
participation from students and faculty members alike
Independence Day:
Annually on August 15th, Independence Day is celebrated
at the college with enthusiasm from both students and teachers. The day
is distinguished by Flag Hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs
Rabindra Jayanti:
Every year, the college pays tribute to the Nobel
Laureate poet, novelist, composer, philosopher, and painter Rabindranath
Tagore on his birth anniversary. Students and teachers join in with
enthusiasm to celebrate his legacy.
Bhasa Dibas (International Mother Language Day):
Observed annually on 21st February, BhasaDibas is
celebrated with gusto at the college. The language departments,
including Bengali, Santali, Sanskrit, and English, organize various
activities such as student and teacher speeches, as well as cultural
performances
JanajatiyaGourav Divas:
Every year, the college pays tribute to the
BhagabanBirsha Munda on his birth anniversary, known as
“JanajatiyaGourav Divas”. Students and teachers alike eagerly
participate to commemorate his enduring legacy.
Santali Bhasa Swikriti Divas:
Each year, on December 22nd, the college celebrates
Santali BhasaSwikriti Divas, highlighting the rich heritage of the local
language. Organized by the Santali department, the event includes
student and teacher speeches, along with vibrant cultural performances.
International
Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples:
On August
9th, we commemorate The International Day of the World's Indigenous
Peoples, a day dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the
rights of indigenous populations. We celebrate the rich heritage of the
local Santali language, shedding light on its significance. Organized by
the Santali department, the event features speeches by both students and
teachers, along with cultural performances.
