The Santali Department has started functioning under this college on and from the beginning of the college. Santali is a department which maintains its own tradition. The maximum number of students get admittedto this department and they appear in the class regularly. Similarly, the department impartsits quality education among the students.

We have two teachers in the Department till now. But We teach our students both Honours and Programme Courses about the Santali Language & Literaturesuccessfully taking minute care: and we also teach other Austric Languages. Even we encourage our students to participate in Social custom and Law and Cultural activities in Santal Society. We deliver lectures on different topicsprescribed in the syllabus and provide the class notes to the students. Besides, the Library facility is available here.

In this way both Honours and Programme Courses are running very smoothly from the beginning. But we are now under Choice Based Credit Semester System Course which comprises Six Semester, B.A.1st year holds 1st & 2nd Semester, B.A.2nd year holds 3rd &4th Semester and B.A. Last year holds 5th & 6th Semester. EachSemester has a paper carrying 50 marks, 40 marks are allotted for Final Exam and 10 marks are allotted for Internal Assessment Exam.

Courses: The Department offers undergraduate Honours, program, generic and a Modern Indian Languagecourse in Santali. Curriculum and syllabus of these courses is under CBCS with the affiliation of Bankura University.
